Kirby Sheridan lives with her husband, David, and their four children in Concord, NC. She is a past president of the Cabarrus County Medical Society Alliance and is currently serving her second three-year term on the North Carolina Medical Society Alliance State Board. When not busy running after children, Kirby focuses on volunteer work in her community.

Wanda Smith, V.P. of Membership Development
Wanda Smith, Vice President of Membership Development lives in Salisbury, NC with her husband David. She currently serves as President of Spencer Presbyterian Church where she is an Elder and Clerk of Session as well. This is her 6th year serving on the NCMS Alliance State Board. She is past President of the Rowan County Medical Society and enjoys volunteering in her church and community and spending time with family and friends.
Mary Tyrey, V.P. of Program Development
Mary Tyrey lives with her husband, Scott in Raleigh NC. They have two children. Her daughter, Sarah Beth recently graduated from the College of Charleston and is now working in New York City. Her son, Nick, is a Junior at the College of William and Mary. Mary is past co-president of the Wake County Medical Society Alliance and is currently serving her first three year term on the North Carolina Medical Society Alliance State Board. She values her relationships within Wake County Alliance and continues to be active locally. Mary is a Registered Nurse, Duke Certified Integrative Health Coach and owns Windows to Wellness, PLLC Integrative Health Coaching Practice.
Marilu Thordsen, V.P. of Resource Development
Hi! My name is Sally Anderson, and I live in Hickory, NC which is in Catawba County. I have been a member of the NCMSA for 23 years. My husband is a urologist, and I am a retired chemical engineer. We have two children. Our daughter Julie graduated from Elon University with a B.A. in Human Services and has a Masters in Social Work from UNC-Chapel Hill. She works in home health care for Hospice of Wake County (Raleigh) and our son Brian graduated with his B.S. in Nuclear and Radiological Engineering from Georgia Tech and is getting a Masters Degree in Medical Physics at MD Anderson in Houston, TX.
